Who are you?
Several years ago I went through a life-altering change. It seemed like I had lost everything. My 15-year relationship suddenly ended, resulting in a downward spiral that led me to losing my business, my finances, my home, and worst of all, my confidence and belief in myself. I felt worthless!
But little by little, with time and lots of support from my family and friends, I began to rebuild my life. Through lessons I learned from people I met, books I read, and movies I watched, I began the process of discovering a strength inside myself that I didn’t even know existed. Slowly but surely, I reinvented myself and found that I could help others who were facing challenging times by sharing my stories. I discovered that if you can uncover your belief in yourself and develop a positive attitude, anything is possible.
And that’s when I started my business, Unshakable Success, which I define as the kind of success that no one can take away from you no matter what may come your way. So now, as a professional speaker, I share techniques that can help you find your own way to Unshakable Success, and a belief in yourself that will never be lost again.
What do you do?
I offer presentations, workshops, and coaching ranging from 20-minutes to a full day. I custom design each program to fit the needs of my audience so each one is unique, sharing tips and techniques that will help you to discover your own strengths and reach your individual goals. Because of my strong business background, I coach individuals to sharpen their communication and presentation skills, helping them to craft a message that is clear, concise and memorable.
Presentations
In my presentations, I share unique techniques on resiliency and how to face the changes in your life, grow from them and become a better person because of them — helping you to find balance and fulfillment both in your personal and professional life.
Coaching
With coaching, the focus is on improving communication and presentation skills. I help you craft your message so you can deliver it in a clear, concise and memorable way.
Why do you love doing it?
I truly love what I do because I can see firsthand how I impact my audience through the message I deliver. One powerful story that I tell is about my brother Tom and how he taught me to change my mindset — and my life — by using one word: “curious.” I share this concept with my audience and show them how it can truly make a difference in changing the way they look at the challenges in their life.
I can’t begin to tell you how many people have stopped me to tell me how they have used this concept both personally, and at work with their teams. One woman came running up to me at a recent workshop I attended and shouted: “You’re the curious lady. I told my husband all about your story and we use your technique every day. It has truly changed our lives.” That comment made my heart smile.
How does it help people?
I help people understand that they are not alone in the struggles they face. Even though the details of our individual stories may be different, we all face challenges in our life that sometimes make us question our self-worth and wonder if we are good enough. We all face times in our life when we don’t know how we are going to make it through the day. The vulnerability I share through my presentations and my coaching help people realize that it is ok to let go of the past and reinvent yourself, finding a new life that you never imagined possible. I share the incredible power of hope.
